DIY Conspiracy Vol.3

Throughout 2021, the webzine DIY Conspiracy released 12 compilation tapes with a total of 208 international underground punk bands. Volume 3 released in March, bringing with it 40 minutes of raw DIY punk energy oscillating across several genres.

Far from commercial design, the task wasn't to make the tape sell more copies. Instead, I was asked to embrace the spirit of DIY Conspiracy all while showing creative freedom. I used a photo of a bridge in Brussels, framing it to bring out the hostility of the steel and concrete elements. The fonts and images are warped and noisy, contributing to the unpolished and abrasive sound of the bands and their message.

For the inside of the tape, I used the Autopia typeface by Antoine Gelgon, a project just as DIY as the music in this tape.
